I went to Europe, saw a picture of Picasso with his shirt off petting a boy in Luzerne. I’ve called him a kid petter ever since. Miles Davis Switzerland tapes with the windows of the Celica rolled down. Painting in the Woods. I went to Penn State for Marketing and International Business so I could live overseas. I started booking, producing, and promoting concerts for the University. I made art for my apartment. Worked for the Penn State Police Department. Went to school in the Netherlands living a still functioning ziekenhuis. Studied art in Barcelona and Madrid. Inspired by the beauty of Switzerland started painting again. Collaborated with other artists in Europe. Painting with Poland drinking Bombay Sapphire. Back to finish at Penn State. Shows in State College, worked as a bus boy, painted in bars, and Graduated. Took a job whoring seats in Iowa. Hated Iowa. International presentations. Private Jets. The life of a seat salesman. International hospitality. Iowa poster design. Painted every day. Made 5000 prints of my work. 150 originals. Got Fired at will in a suit with a clean shave. Laughed off the corporatocracy. Moved to West Philadelphia. Traveled cross country. Landed on the cutting room floor with some HBO footage from a Cali Show. Sold work in 15 states. Painted on a Cruise Ship and Bermuda. Offered artist residence program in Denmark, Declined. Sold work coast to coast and in Bermuda. Painted Live Music in California, Washington, Indiana, and Wisconsin before returning to W. Philly, 50th and Baltimore. Studied mosaics with Isaiah Zagar for a few months. Ran out of money. Got a job at a bank. Did a few commissioned works for businesses in the city, had shows in the park in W. Philadelphia and Northern Liberties. Painted in a few more bars. A show at Carnegie Mellon University, and a show back at Penn State. House murals, table designs, private commissions, 2 shows on South Street, A solo exhibition in North Liberties. A show in Austin Texas. Sold work in Vegas, quit my job. Moved to NJ took a night job dispatching trucks and listening to rap music. Worked for 9 months, quit that job, and spent 2 months working on a new graffiti style painting every day. Art reviews with established artists.. Went to Iceland to further my studies. Spent a week in Reykjavik. Shot a photo essay “Iceland Meets New York” which debuted on IZstyle. Back to the Neth. Discovered David LaChapelle in Amsterdam. Wrote a book. Started a village series in Vught. Delivered work to the National Gallery in Prague. Back to Philly. Worked at a Mexican Restaurant. NJ Shed Studio. Moved to a lake house in New Hampshire. Off the grid, No cell. Working with trucks again. Painting and skiing the winter. Moved into a Dirt Bag Motel in the spring for 2 months to rehab before Philly. Got offered a house in the woods for the summer. Painting every day. I started blogging. Joined Myspace. Started growing a fan base. Returned to the Neth to see Jay-Z, deliver work, and meet with owners. Middle of the woods, couldn't hear cars, or see neighbors. Started painting on my photos. Painting Live Music at least once a week. 14 week residence at the Skunk Hollow Tavern. Show in St. Louis. Punk shows in White River Junction and Burlington. Noise Shows in Manchester. Cank came up for my birthday. We painted at the Hollow. Then again in the fall. Co-founded a company, and VORCAN was born. Co-wrote a screenplay. Work hanging in Amsterdam. In collections in 30 states. Iceland, Netherlands, Germany, Czech, and Bermuda. Music Festivals. Painted private parties in Philly. On the horizon: Aspen, Pebble Beach, Carmel, Naples, London, Amsterdam, Essen Germany, Florence Italy... 50 paintings, in 50 days, in 50 states.
